The Fear of Kissing

If your heart jumps out of your chest, your knees are shaking, your palms are sweating when you kiss someone – these emotions and sensations are normal. But when you experience all this without kissing a girl, you just stand next to her paralyzed and unable to move further and make the next step towards your mutual attraction.

The problem of fear of kissing is very wide-spread nowadays. More than 15 per cent of people who have been asked said that they experience this very type of fear. It usually doesn't lead to a total refusal from kissing and is usually present in teenagers who can't relax completely when kissing.

The best advice here is to learn how to relax during a kiss, try doing it to soothing sensual music – it will contribute to your natural relaxation when kissing. Do not be afraid to make mistakes when kissing, remember that the more you practise, the more skilful you will become over time.

If you feel that you are too shy for kissing in public with the person you love, the person who expresses the desire to kiss whenever he/she feels like doing so, the best way is fighting with this type of shyness. There's nothing wrong in expressing your affection towards your lover in the streets or in the mall –as long as you are not in Japan where they don't usually practise kissing in public it's all good.

 

There are many possible reasons why we kiss starting from pleasant emotions and sensations it brings finishing with desire to practise the art of kissing which is represented by a myriad of nuances and special points requiring much time spent on their investigation and practice.

Plato used to call kissing the ‘exchange of love between the two souls’. Nowadays medical specialists call a kiss some sort of spasm which involves around twenty-nine muscles.

They call it French kissing because most people in most countries associate the French with the nation of virtuosos when it’s about the art of love and sensuality. In French this type of kissing is called ‘the kiss of souls’.
